Are my characters “me” in disguise?
On writing characters… You can never tell with authors. They tend to write a part of themselves into their characters. Sometimes they even include a part of people they know. It’s difficult to tell sometimes, though. I honestly can see facets of my personality in each of my characters. Whether it is dialogue like my own speech (Pappy Oh) or an act that I would perform (Hope). It is threaded in there. I see my own naivety in Shannon. Break them or keep them? if you have followed me for any length of time you know that my opinion on writing rules and like that is pretty strong.
