As some of you may already know, I have been reading (with great joy) from The Letters of J. R. R. Tolkien. His letters to family and friends and agents and publishers has been such a grand look-inside to a master’s writing life. Highly, recommend it. Last time, I talked about formatting. Now I want to talk about the details an author goes through with a fantasy novel especially. Like… the map.
