Writing/not writing

I have been doing that dance. Writing/not writing.I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my writing schedule, my most productive writing time, and so on. Might be time to do a Day in the Life post. I love when other authors do them and learn a lot too. So, now that I’m off for the day, here’s how my day goes: (You can see a video of this on my Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/mkbrowningauthor

I don’t work in the mornings, reserving that for housework and gym time. I get up around 5AM, snuggle the pets, visit with the hubby, drink coffee, check social media, etc. I go to the gym before breakfast, waste a lot of time during the mid morning because that’s when I go to grocery, get gas, etc.

In the afternoon, I switch to edits or writing work and also administrative tasks(emails, blogging, etc). This is if I am not working at my day job. If that happens, then this probably won’t. I do most of my reading at the day job, while waiting on customers to require my services. On the weekends, I do not generally go to the gym, and I do not generally write/edit, spending that time with my hubby.

But I’m just one person, and an author with a bad habit of procrastination, playing games on my phone, and going shopping whenever the books and the characters get hard to please. Don’t hang out doing what I do. Don’t do what I do, do what I say do.

GO WRITE or edit – because this not writing stuff is not helpful at all. We should be making more headway to achieving our goals, right?
