Inspired writing begins when an author sees, hears, or experiences something that must be explored.

I can only speak for myself, but I will examine something or take a photo or video of it in order to pursue that inspiration.

Case in point: these images from my recent trip during the holidays.

These images play a big part in a scene I wrote in my new book for the World of Daegries series. (And by the way, I will be updating the word counter on the front page soon!)

Sometimes it can be a snippet of a conversation or a lady wearing heels. Whatever it is- writers get inspired. And, of course, inspired writing is the ultimate thrill for us. It’s what we long for every day.
